Is SOY the Sinner?

Just about everywhere you turn you will find groups of same-sex couples pushing for equal rights to be allowed to legally marry their partner of choice. Only just a few moments ago on TV in Tasmania  I heard Premier Lara Giddings telling crowds, that she will push for the law to be changed in Tasmania and her counterpart in South Australia is also standing tall and saying the same things.

I am under 60 years of age, and grew up in a society that had no liking for homosexuality. That would probably be an understatement in the extreme, as it was considered not only unlawful but also a sin against God Almighty. Homosexuals hid themselves away (except in certain areas – mostly the arts scene) and did not wish to be known as such in everyday life. I doubt that there were millions of them hiding away either, their numbers seemed small at the time.

I have been pondering recently on the mega numbers of people who are openly homosexual. When did this all come to the fore? And what if anything might be attributed to the gender change preferences?

It is well-known that the SOY plant – in its many forms, which is in just about all processed foods today, can cause serious imbalances in the hormone levels, in particular with estrogen. These are not my own thoughts, but are easily reproducible if you do a search on the internet for the negative effects of soy on men’s sexual health. (Search for ‘Soy raises estrogen in men’). That particular search using Google gave about 632,000 results (0.28 seconds).

James Price’s breasts had been painful and swollen. It looked as if gum balls were implanted underneath each nipple. The slightest touch triggered throbs.

For Price, a retired U.S. Army intelligence officer who once flew attack helicopters in Vietnam, these changes were more than just physically uncomfortable. “Men aren’t supposed to have breasts,” he says today in a quiet Texas drawl. “It was like my body was feminizing.”

A lean and wiry man, the breast development stood in stark contrast to the rest of his body. But it was not Price’s only symptom. His beard growth had slowed, he’d lost hair from his arms, chest, and legs, and he’d stopped waking up with morning erections. “My sexual desire disappeared,” he says. “My penis—I won’t say it atrophied, but it was so flaccid that it looked very small in comparison with the way it used to be. Even my emotions changed.”

The first three doctors Price consulted diagnosed him with gynecomastia, or the abnormal enlargement of the mammary glands in men. Tests further revealed that estrogen levels in his bloodstream were eight times higher than the normal limits for men, higher even than the levels typically seen in healthy women. Price’s estrogen was so high, in fact, that the doctors were at a loss to explain it. One physician became so frustrated he eventually accused Price of secretly taking estrogen. “He thought I was a mental case,” says Price, still angry as he recalls the experience.  READ the entire story here.

I have heard it said time and time again that soy is the staple food for the people of Asia and it does not make them ill or change their hormone levels drastically. But the people of Asia consume their soy in a very different form to what we consume in the West.

Traditional Asian families choose fermented soy products and do not consume them in large amounts. They do not eat genetically modified soy beans. Once that last statement might have been correct, but as with most countries around the world, Asia (in general) has conformed to the SAD Standard Western Diet. They are eating fast food, drinking dangerous amounts of fizzy drinks and have turned away from the food regime of their ancestors.

Genetically modified soy bean is ubiquitous in our food supply. As an example soy (GMO) is fed to livestock, farmed fish, chickens, pigs etc. When those animals are slaughtered, you are paying the cost because you are consuming those chemicals too. The chickens fed the soy are either laying eggs laced with soy chemicals which get into your food supply, or the meat off the chicken ends up in your burger, sandwich or on your dinner plate. What about that nice milk drink you just consumed? Was the cow fed GM Soy in its feed too? 

It is just about every loaf of bread or bread product you consume. It is in your breakfast cereals and all other processed foods you consume. It is a very inexpensive filler so you will find it in your prescription medications and your vitamins as well.

How do you define “genetically modified “?  The manipulation of an organism’s genetic make-up in order to create or enhance desirable characteristics from the same or another species”.

While genetic manipulation of foods can be traced throughout history, the modern marvels of GMOs and transgenic plants have come to light in just the last few decades. The 1980’s marked the scientific discovery that specific pieces of DNA could be transferred from one organism to another (Cramer, 2001). This became the basis of the genetic modification process. In 1983, the first transgenic plant, a tobacco plant resistant to antibiotics was created (Cramer, 2001). Then, genetically engineered cotton was successfully field tested in 1990. Five years later, Monsanto the leading biotech company, introduced herbicide-immune soybeans otherwise known as “Round-Up-Ready” (Cramer, 2001). The promise of genetic modification was enhanced even further in 2000, when scientist discovered that the modification process could be used to introduce nutrients and vitamins to enrich foods.

Commercially, four genetically modified crops dominate global biotech agriculture with soybeans accounting for 60% of GM crop area, maize accounting for 23% of GM crop area, cotton accounting for 11% of GM crop area, and canola accounting for 6% of GM crop area.).

The Weston A Price Foundation is a good source for information on the dangers of soy as is Dr. Mercola. They list the following which may be of interest to you:

  • High levels of phytic acid in soy reduce assimilation of calcium, magnesium, copper, iron and zinc. Phytic acid in soy is not neutralized by ordinary preparation methods such as soaking, sprouting and long, slow cooking, but only with long fermentation. High-phytate diets have caused growth problems in children.
  • Trypsin inhibitors in soy interfere with protein digestion and may cause pancreatic disorders. In test animals, soy containing trypsin inhibitors caused stunted growth.
  • Soy phytoestrogens disrupt endocrine function and have the potential to cause infertility and to promote breast cancer in adult women.
  • Soy phytoestrogens are potent antithyroid agents that cause hypothyroidism and may cause thyroid cancer. In infants, consumption of soy formula has been linked to autoimmune thyroid disease.
  • Vitamin B12 analogs in soy are not absorbed and actually increase the body’s requirement for B12.
  • Soy foods increase the body’s requirement for Vitamin D. Toxic synthetic Vitamin D2 is added to soy milk.
  • Fragile proteins are over-denatured during high temperature processing to make soy protein isolate and textured vegetable protein.
  • Processing of soy protein results in the formation of toxic lysinoalanine and highly carcinogenic nitrosamines.
  • Free glutamic acid or MSG, a potent neurotoxin, is formed during soy food processing and additional amounts are added to many soy foods to mask soy’s unpleasant taste.
  • Soy foods contain high levels of aluminum, which is toxic to the nervous system and the kidneys.

I have to wonder if the introduction and then the over abundance of estrogen elevating soy in our food supply has anything to do with this rather large number of homosexual couples we find today? I do not know the answer but it certainly is a question I will continue to seek answers for.

Big Industry in all its forms has done much to change our food supply. Firstly they used chemicals and sprays as fertilizers, and then they introduced salad irradiation, supposedly for the protection of the consumers. Then they genetically modify seeds to withstand chemicals which are toxic to the human species. Food as our grandparents knew it does not exist in many places these days. But we are consuming a myriad of dangerous cell changing chemicals at every mouthful and then wonder why our preferences (sexual) are changing. Soy might just be part of the answer.

Just to keep things on the straight and level I joyfully admit to following the Christian Way of Jesus Christ. I do not agree with, in fact I am 100% diametrically opposed to same-sex marriage. If homosexual couples decide they want formal recognition of their relationship, then I would not oppose a civil union. Marriage is for the purpose of procreation. Homosexuals cannot procreate.

    Difficult to know where to post this one as it has multiple facets. Soy is dangerous. Homosexual couples numbers are on the rise.
    The food chain has been polluted by Big Interests…. as I said multi-faceted.
